A man is set to appear in court over an alleged hit-and-run which claimed the life of a Boosbeck mum. A 33-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Jonathan Strang, of Valley Road, Middlesbrough, is set to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. A second man, aged 37, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation whilst inquiries continue.
Cleveland Police has also confirmed that officers have arrested a third man also on suspicion of assisting an offender. The 27-year-old remains in police custody on Thursday morning.

As previously reported, Justine Wedgwood, 50, from the Boosbeck area, lost her life after the alleged incident at 10.45pm on Sunday night on Boosbeck Road, Skelton Green, during which she received serious injuries.
The force previously issued a CCTV appeal to trace a car believed to have been involved in the alleged incident. Officers confirmed the vehicle was located on Wednesday.
A force spokesperson said: “Police would like to thank all those who shared our appeal to trace a vehicle in connection with an ongoing investigation into a fatal hit-and-run in Boosebeck. The vehicle detectives wanted to trace has been located and our investigation continue.”
